Camelot – stone town-castle
During eight centuries people’s imagination was fascinated by fairyland of King Arthur. Kamelot – stone town-castle was situated in the center of it. This fantastic castle was enclosed with the wall with high towers, the royal court was situated there. There the noble king and his knights lived according to the law of honor and chivalrous love. Kamelot was outside the time and space, it was situated in the fairyland of magic forests and majestic stone castles. From here knights went to their travels and then, after having overcame evil spells, real test and difficulties, they saved beautiful unknown lady and returned back home as a winners.
Kamelot was an incarnation of nobility and constancy among the suddenness of surrounding reality, it symbolized the triumph of civilization over barbarism, victory of harmony over chaos, bright future and the light past of the mankind. Ruins of this formerly majestic town are still remaining of the banks of river Usk, that’s why there is no wonder that kings and queens, ordinary warriors and craftsmen, merchants and vagrant musicians from different countries could come to this magic stone town with golden roofs many years after….
